Geocache Description:

One of two caches placed on the trail (well, one of 3 trails that I know of, but it’s the one I use) to the Green Mt. Giant, the Big Boulder, the Big Rock. See link: http://www.anr.state.vt.us/dec/geo/GreenMtnGiant.htm

There is a cache near the Rock itself, but it seemed like there should be something on the way to add to the experience. The whole round trip takes about an hour, at a very easy pace. Its steep in spots, but the snowmobile trail takes you right to it. It’s hard to get a good reading in these woods - best I got was 20’ accuracy. So the hides and hints are easy to make up for that.

So this one…. As you come up the trail you will see a HUGE boulder on your right. And you might think that’s a Big Rock, but it’s not. It’s just a baby. Just a teaser for the Big Daddy Rock. Cache is not at this rock, but near it. Medium size lok-n-lok with a few kid-friendly goodies.
