Geocache Description:

[ENG] The third cache of the series introduces you St. Anna's church in Halliste.
This church was restored on the initiative and by the local people. The original building was probably built in the second half of the 15th century. Halliste Church is one of the most beautiful and interesting churches, it has an uncharacteristic black ceiling; the altar of the Church is decorated with a painting of an artist Jüri Arrak.

Interesting facts:
- The church has an unusual black ceiling.
- After a fire in 1959, the church stood in ruins for 30 years.
- The oldest parts of the current stone church dates from the 15th century
- The Halliste Church is the home church of Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves.

To find the cache look at the rooster in the tower. Add together the tops of the cockscomb and the ends of the tail feathers. If rooster`s beak is open, add 4 to the result, if closed, add 9. This is value of A.

[EST] Seeria kolmas aare juhatab teid Halliste Püha Anna Kiriku juurde.
Halliste kihelkond on Sakala üks vanemaid. Praeguse kivikiriku vanemad osad pärinevad 15.saj. II poolest. Erinevate sõdade käigus kannatada saanud kirikut on palju kordi üles- ja ümber ehitatud. Peale põlengut 1959a. seisis kirik 30 aastat varemeis. Arvukate annetuste toetusel alustati 1989a. kohalikul initsiatiivil pühakoja taastamist ja valminud kirik pühitseti 1991a. jõulude ajal. Halliste kirik on Eesti ilusamaid ja huvitavamaid kirikuid-pühakodadele mitteomase musta lae ja altarit kaunistava Jüri Arraku maaliga "Kristus".
