Geocache Description:

You are looking for a black nano at this nautical location.

Winter opening times in effect; open 10:00 till 15:30 Monday to Saturday.

This cache brings you close to two permanent residents of Hartlepool: The PS Wingfield Castle and HMS Trincomalee.

The PS Wingfield Castle served as a passenger ferry across the Humber and later as a troop transport in WW2.

HMS Trincomalee is the oldest ship afloat in Europe, the second oldest ship afloat in the world! Built for the East India Company in 1817, her crew quelled riots in the Carribean, fought the slave trade and braved the fearsome Arctic and Antarctic Oceans. Now lovingly restored she is the pride of Hartlepool.
