Geocache Description:

Welcome to Lake Carmi State Park. This cache is located off of one of the trails in the Park. During Parks operating season there is a fee to enter the Park.

The trail used to approach the cache site used to be a railroad line. You may encounter various flying insects depending on when you visit. This cache is not in the bog, but not too far away either. You may wish to continue down the Park access road towards Area B, where there is a new, but short, boardwalk out into the bog. This boardwalk will eventually be extended.
