This cache can be found at a watermill that has been built in the
18th-19th centuries in the suburban area of Zsámbék. In our days
unfortunately there are only ruins remained from the walls, however
the atmosphere of the place is still interesting.
You can approach the suggested start point by going out from
Zsámbék towards Páty. The suggested parking area will be on your
right where a dirt road goes into the main road. You can reach the
cache from here by walking, biking or driving on the dirt road.
For those who much rather like the aventure I suggest the start
point from the road connecting Herceghalom and Zsámbék. This would
be a more exciting walk since you need to cross the creek and you
need to go through on an overgrown area.
The watermill itself is a unique value of this area. The second
biggest fall of Békás-creek can be found here and this is why a
watermill was running here until the 19th century. Only ruins of
the building and some parts of the weir remained by now. On the top
of this there is a very spectacular view onto the old willlows
standing in line on the meadow that is edging the former mill-lake.
Also there is a nice view toward Zsámbék.
