Welcome to the newest property conserved by Stowe Land Trust (SLT). The Kirchner Woods was acquired last year when Gerald J. Kirchner, owner of the land left a good part of his estate to the SLT. An anonymous donation was then given for the construction of a trail system and parking area. Over the summer, after several work days and many volunteer hours, a parking area was constructed, and a trail system built.
Park at N 44°27.435 W072°39.430, along Tabor Hill Road, and follow the main trail uphill to the site of the former sugar shack. The container is a camoed lock&lock, which was within view of the shack.
