Szeged Zoo Multi-Cache

This multi-cache, contains 2 virtual and 1 traditional points. The first point will show you the second, and there you can obtain the missing numbers of the coordinates (N46°15,xxx; E20°07,yyy) of the last point (the traditional cache). Although all points of this multi are located outside of the Zoo, but leaving without visiting the animals is more than a mistake!

The Szeged Zoo has been expecting visitors since 1989. It is made special by several factors: spanning almost 45 hectares it is the zoo with the biggest territory in the country, it has got a unique animal collection, and it is conducting nature conservation and educational activities that are outstanding in the region. Being a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquaria and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, it participates in several international species conservation programmes (EEP, ESB). Visitors can meet more than 600 specimen of about 140 species in Zoo Szeged. Among these are such curiosities as the wolverine, L’Hoest’s monkey, fossa, Alaotran gentle lemur, bat eared fox, North Chinese leopard, lowland anoa, Chinese water deer, silvery marmoset, red-cheeked gibbon, giant anteater and maned wolf. Of course no such usual zoo favourites can be omitted as the lion, slender-tailed meerkat, Bactrian camel and Siberian tiger. We present the animals according to the geographical range of their species, our South American, African and European areas are especially significant. The animals live in modern, natural and spacious exhibits, most of them can also be seen during the winter when they are in their houses.
