Geocache Description:

This is a straight forward 2 stage multi-cache that brings you to a curious structure, and a lovely view.

This is a continuation of our musician/song related series. Classic Oldies, Bob Seger Like a Rock, Hot for Teacher, Too Much Time On My Hands, and I Don't Like Spiders and Snakes are some of the other music related caches we've hidden in Southeastern, Massachusetts. Smoke on the Water is one most people know by Deep Purple.

Assawompsett Pond is the largest natural body of fresh water in the state encompassing 2,220 acres. Across the pond, to the left is beautiful "Betty's Neck" where MT Pool and I have numerous caches hidden. The Name "Assawompsett" is a Native American word for "the place of the white stones".

You'll see the reason for the name of the cache when you arrive at the final location. There was a puzzle cache in this area with the same name years ago. This cache is also a tribute to that cache. I was thinking about this cache the other day, and looked it up to discover it had been archived. No one had ever hidden a new cache here, so here I am. Enjoy!
I'm putting the "dangerous area" attribute on this cache as there is an open hole nearby (about 15 feet) from the cache. It appears to be an old cess pool, and is about 5 feet deep. So, watch yourself, and especially your little ones!
