Geocache Description:

A short hike - or a long one - if you choose, in the beautiful East-Mecsek, guiding you to a small cottage and a spring. Both are easily accessible from the road if you chose to do it as a (nearly) drive-in.

FIRST SIGHT: Csengő cottage (Csengő lak)
This small wooden cottage in a hidden, but easily accessible corner of the Csengő Hill (Csengő-hegy) is the smallest house in the East Mecsek (Kelet-Mecsek). This romantic forest dwelling with its porch is the smallest - single bed - tourist accommodation in the Mecsek. So, if you want to spend the night here, (needs to be prearranged,) don't bring more than your dog!
There has already been a shelter erected here in the 1950s. The current one was renovated in 1960. There is a plan to replace it with a brick structure standing on a concrete base. That surely will be more comfortable, but certainly not this romantic. I like it the way it is!

SECOND SIGHT: Csengő spring (Csengő-forrás)
The coordinates in the heading point at the cache, some 300 meters away from the cottage, near the Csengő spring (Csengő-forrás). It is under the hairpin bend of the forest road.
The spring was mounted in 1997. Its water output is only 0-3 l-minute, so in dryer periods you'd better bring some water with you to be on the safe side if you would like to have a picnic here. Table, benches, and fireplace are available.
