NB! Aare asub Rammu sihtkaitsevööndis, kus on inimeste viibimine keelatud 1. aprillist kuni 20. juulini, välja arvatud:
1. teaduslikel välitöödel ning järelevalve- ja päästetöödel;
2. Rammu ja Rohusi sihtkaitsevööndis liiklemisel merel kaitseala valitseja poolt tähistatud liiklusteel;

Rammu on peaaegu asustamata saar.

Today Rammu island is almost uninhabited. There are only few summer cottages, which are empty most of the time. So this is a perfect place for people who want to experience living on a deserted island.
On August of 2012 six latvians lived there for a week, all by themselves. The only connection to world outside the island was an arrangement with some estonian fisherman, who had a boat. The arrangement was to take the six survivors back to the main land after eight days. The fisherman went to Rammu island on the arranged date, but the latvians were missing. He looked for them in every corner of the island, but he found only clues which led him to treasure. When he found the treasure, he understood that something has happened to the six latvian survivors, but on their LAST MINUTE on the island they managed to hide their treasure.
***
It was a nice summer afternoon when on the August 17th 2012 the fisherman got off the boat on the coast of Rammu island. He knew he was in the right spot, but the latvian survivors weren't there, so he went looking for them. He didn't know where could they be, so he went to the abandoned beacon to look for them from the above.
The fisherman was old and climbing to the top of the beacom was a real test for his heart and his limbs. He counted every step and when he got to the top, he was out of breath. He took a few minutes to rest and then started to look for signs of the missing latvians. From the top he could see a huge stone and he remembered what one of the latvians said to him "We will not camp on the coast, because it will be too windy. We will set our camp in some place, where the wind can not find us". A moment later fisherman realised that behind that rock could be a perfect camping spot. He turned around, glimpsed one more time at the beautiful landscape of Rammu island and went down the ladder.
Near the rock fisherman found nothing. He sat down and looked up in the sky, he was daydreaming. Then suddenly he saw something that sparkled in the warm light of sun. He reached his hand and grabbed it - it was a weight from a fishing-rod.
Few minutes later the fisherman found himself running towards the lake, he knew august is not a good time for fishing in the sea, so the latvians must have been at the lake, but....
there was no sign of them.
"What if they ran out of food? Where else they could go?", the fisherman was thinking. "The cotteges!"
He knew, that it was the only place on this island where you can hope to find some living soul. If the latvians had some trouble, they must have gone there. A few minutes later he was standing in front of a small house, but he didn't even step on the yard - it was clearly visible, that the house was empty. Fisherman was ready to give up searching, when he saw a sign and he knew where to look for the missing survivors.
A few moments later, he found the the right place, but the latvians weren't there, there was only a small container with treasure.
He realised, that it is beyond his reach to find the missing survivors and went back to his boat to pray for their souls.
