EST: 19. aprillil 1977 oli Moe piiritusetehase 32 m kõrgune korsten parajas vines. Samal ajal hakkas maanduma Pärnusse kolivaid lendureid tagasi toov transpordilennuk. Mehed olid ülesande täitnud, pidid saama puhkusele ja olla olnud rõõmsas vines juba. Lumepilves lendur vääratas, laskus 240 m asemel 24 m peale, riivas tiivaga korstnat ning prantsatas lautade taha põllule. Hukkusid kõik 21 pardalolnut; samas töökojas traktorite ülevaatust pidanud kolhoosnikutest lendas õnnetus üle … Üks töömees, kes katlamaja katust remontis, sai tiivaga pihta; kui ta haiglas oma õnnetuse asjaolusid püüdis seletada - lennuk sõitis otsa -, arvati, et on ka vines ja taheti hullumajja pista.
Pärast pandi hukkunute mälestuseks põllutee äärde püsti lennuki saba, mille Saksi vallavalitsus 2005. aastal korda tegi. Pikem lugu sündmusest on lisatud lingil.

ENG: On 19 April 1977 the 32 m chimney of the Moe Distillery was in haze. A military airplane that carried back pilots from Pärnu was about to land in the nearby Tapa military airfield. The men had fulfilled their tasks, were about to get some holidays, and were in haze some say. The pilot lost orientation in the clouds of snow, descended to 24 m instead of 240, hit the chimney with a wing and crashed in a field behind the barns. All 21 men onboard died. The plane managed to miss the farmers who were checking their tractors in a garage just across the road. A worker who was repairing the roof next to the chimney got hit by the plane and when tried to explain in the hospital what happened to him - he got hit by an airplane - they wondered whether he was hazy as well or should be immediately sent to a bedlam.
A memorial was later erected by a field road - a tail of an airplane.
The coordinates point to the chimney. The container hangs in the densest place next to the memorial.
