Em Contacto

Esta Antena faz parte da Estação Terrena de Ponta Delgada que foi inaugurada em 1977 e permitiu as comunicações via satélite entre os Açores e o Continente Português.

Esta Estação era propriedade da CPRM - Companhia Portuguesa Rádio Marconi. Em 2002 a CPRM (Marconi) deixou de existir, fundindo-se esta com a Portugal Telecom.

A antena já não se encontra em funcionamento.

Curiosidade: A antena tem um diâmetro de 32 metros e trabalhava na banda dos 4 e 6 Ghz.

This antenna is in a comunication central in Ponta Delgada and was established in 1977 and it made possible the satellite comunication between Azores and Portugal mainland.

The station was owned by CPRM - Companhia Portuguesa Rádio Marconi. In 2002 CPRM was merged with Portugal Telecom.

The Antenna isn't working anymore.

Fun fact: The antenna has a diameter of 32 meters and worked on the 4-6Ghz band.
