Mt Tom Holiday Traditional Cache

The cache is hidden in the Mount Tom State Reservation about a mile from the parking on a paved road that leads to the Erie House Ruins.
The cache is a one mile uphill walk from the visitor’s center on a paved road that is closed to vehicles. The satellite reception may not be very good at GZ. The regular sized Lock n’ Lock is hidden a few feet south of the paved road. You may have to reach high and deep into the rock face but do not be misled by your GPS into climbing the steep slope. Check for critters before sticking your hand into anything. There is a vehicle fee to enter the park during summer weekends. There are a couple of options for alternate hikes to access the area.
