Lenin Statue Bishkek Traditional Cache

Many Lenin statues in the former Soviet Union have been taken down or were vandalized in the last 20 years. The Lenin statue in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, was simply relocated. It used to stand on Ala-Too Square (formerly known as Lenin Square) where you can see a huge Manas monument today (see reference point).

While Lenin used to point at the mountains in the South, he now stands behind the Historical Museum not far from its original location and faces the American University in Kyrgyzstan.

The geocache is hidden within sight of the monument at/in another relict from the Soviet Times. Please use stealth, especially in summer when this small park attracts a lot of young people hanging out or taking a break from university classes.
