Geocache Description:

The coordinates lead you to nice place by the lake, where several information boards stand. You can see St. Mary´s Church (in Estonian Rõuge Maarja Kirik). The first stone church was constructed in Rõuge in the 16th century. In 1730, the original church, which was destroyed in the Great Northern War, was replaced with one, which had an imposing square tower. The church was blessed in the name of St. Mary. The altar-piece "Christ on the cross" by R. von Mühlen is from 1854. In 1860 the walls were made higher and a mirrored arch was installed. In 1930 the church got a 31-register organ built by the Kriisa brothers.

You can also see a monument on the hill. This is Monument to the Estonian Mother (In Estonian Eesti Ema). The monument is made from stone brought from Udmurtia, and is 3.6 meters high, weighing nearly 6 tons.

Nearby the information board lies Rõuge Suurjärv (big lake), which is the deepest Estonian lake with a maximal depth of 38 m (125 ft) and an area of 13.5 ha (33 acres). Next our path leads along the lake to Ööbikuoru Hydro Workshop-Museum, where you can see two working hydraulic rams. If you go further, you will arrive to the watching tower, where you can see an information board.

The cache is at coordinates N 57° 44.АВА; E 26° 58.АСD;, where:
A – number of fountains on the hill nearby Monument to the Estonian Mother;
B – number of the places, where you can charge electrical cars;
C – number of batteries (salvestid) on schema near watching tower (schema is lost, the number is 4);
D – number of the sides of the church tower, which have an equal amount of windows.

These coordinates lead you to a picnic place, where you can see two gazebos. Between them a path leads you to the woods, go approximately 85 meters and you can see on your left a big pile of stones. The cache is hidden on the top of it in triangular hole.

After finding the cache you can become clean both spiritually and physically at Nogo tourist farm.

Kirikus asub 1929. a tuntud orelimeistrite Kriisade poolt koduse kiriku tarbeks valmistatud orel.

АВА; E 26° 58.АСD;, kus:
A - purskkaevude arv mäel Eesti Ema monumendi juures,
B - elektriautode laadimiskohtade arv,
C - akude/salvestite arv skeemil vaatetorni jalamil (skeem on kadunud, õige arv on 4),
D - kiriku kellatorni külgede arv, millel on võrdne arv aknaid.

Koordinaadid viivad teid piknikukohale, kus näete kaht lehtlat. Nende vahelt läheb tee sügavamale metsa, minge seda teed 85 meetrit ja vasakul näete suurt kivikuhja, mille tipus kolmnurkses praos asubki kividega kaetud aare.
