Vanast Rummu lubjakivikarjäärist on saanud praeguseks järv. 1990-ndate aastate lõpus pärast kaevandamise lõppu hakkas järves vesi tõusma, kuna vee välja pumpamine lõpetati. Old Rummu limestone quarry has now become a lake. At the end of the 1990s, after the end of the mining, water in the lake began to rise as the water pumping stopped. In the western part of the quarry a lot of buildings and part of the wall remained partially or totally under water. If you look from the shore you can see how this wall disappears oddly under water to be visible on the other shore again. Also, the technique remained under the water, which I think almost all have now unfortunately been dragged out and sold for scrap. However, the lake is still a favorite place for divers.
