ENG This limestone beach in western part of the island hides many fossils on its shore. Because the shore is open to stormy waves the shoreline changes continiously, soil shifts around and flora is coming and going. The highlight of the beach is the lighthouse built on 1864. A bit further away from the beach are many alvars, soil of these is very calcerous and have rather thin layer of humus. This is one of the cosiest places on the island. Anyone who is after some serious romantic moments should visit this place during winter, if ice conditions are suitable you can then go iceskating in the light of the lighthouse. Car can be parked at 59° 01,485' 23° 07,099' and then down the shoreline by foot.
