Norrby 4 grade school was opened in 1918. Few years later it was ipgraded into 6 grade school. They taught Swedish, Estonian (from 3rd grade), litarature, geography, biology, mathamatics, religious studies, handycraft and woodwork, all in Swedish.
In woodwork classes boys made various items from plywood, like for example skis and girls made clothes in handycraft lessons. In 1943 the school was closed down, in 1944 Germans moved in and in 1946 the building was demolished altogether.
