För att komma till denna gömma så rekommenderar jag att du vid trappan upp på berget antingen följer åkerkanten eller tar dig in i hagen. Gå norrut och vik sedan av efter ca 200 m mot slutdestinationen. Gå inte på åkermarken utan följ kanten. Då du ska vidare till nr 10 så gå tillbaka till trappan så är du på leden igen.
Brygghuset
Förr i tiden var vattenståndet i Vänern högre och vid högvatten bestod Kållandsö då av tre större och några mindre öar. Under första delen av 1800-talet gjorde befolkningsökningen att behovet av jordbruksmark ökade och därför började man undersöka möjligheterna att bygga vallar mot Vänerns vatten på ett antal strategiska platser. I början av 1900-talet beslutade man att anlägga en fördämningsvall på det smalaste stället söder om Granudden här vid Prästgårdens brygghus. Stora betongfundament göts där pumpverket skulle stå och dessa kan man se än idag. Tyvärr misslyckades invallningen eftersom massorna sjönk allteftersom man fyllde på jord. 1926 beslutade man att flytta invallningen till landsvägen mellan Siggesten och Missionskyrkan ca 1,5 km norrut.

To get to this hide, I recommend the following. Next to the stairs up the mountain, follow either the edge of the field, or take you into the pasture. Go north and then fold after about 200 meters. Don't go on arable land but follow the edge. When your heading to no 9, then go back to the stairs and take the trail again.
The brewhouse
In the past, the water level in Lake Vänern was higher. At high tide Kållandsö consisted of three large and several smaller islands. During the first part of the 1800s the population growth demanded for agricultural land increase. Therefore they began to investigate the possibility of building embankments against Vänern water on a number of strategic locations. In the early 1900s it was decided to build a dam embankment at the narrowest point south of Granudden here at the vicarage brewery. Large concrete foundations were cast where the pumping station would be, and these can be seen even today. Unfortunately the embankment failed because the masses sank as they were filled. 1926 one decided to move the embankment to the road about 1.5 km to the north.
