Geocache Description:

This area is where the "Little River" crosses the Mid State Trail in Charlton, MA. This river starts out from Spencer, working its way through Charlton and Oxford, as it passes through streams, brooks, and at least 8 ponds. At the cache site is where it flows into Buffum Lake, which was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Close by, you can see the foundation of a gristmill built in 1818. Buffumville is one of my favorite places to hike. I hope you enjoy the area too.

The cache is located near an old stone bridge the spans the "Little River". This is a great Park N Grab, kid friendly, and is available in the winter. Congrats to Kdoane for FTF 3/16/2016 @ 3:08pm EST
