The Orthodox resurrection Cathedral was built in Narva in the years 1890-1896 for Krenholm manufactur workers. The architectural design of the temple dates back to the Byzantine cultural tradition, and it has the form of a Greek cross. It's like the Cathedral of St. Sophia in Konstantinopol. During the Second world war, the Cathedral wasn't badly damaged and since 1945 it has already continued the service.
