Highway View Traditional Cache

This Hopkinton trail segment begins at the intersection of Kryzaniak Rd. and Spring St. just outside of Contoocook village.   There is a small parking space a short distance up Kryzaniak Rd. on the left side. Otherwise you can park at the Hopkinton town library lot on Houston St. and cross several athletic fields for more than a half a mile to reach the cache.  (There is another cache located on the library grounds: Name a good book by JMASCI.) 

  Eventually this 1-mile trail is expected to be a portion of the Concord to Lake Sunapee biking trail.This section, as are most of the anticipated sections, follows an old railroad bed. That of course means a wide and level path. Good for walking, biking and horses. When you turn the corner as you walk, you are about at the end of the formal section of the trail, although it does continue through rougher terrain. This cache is medium size. It is camo covered. The final hundred feet or so of the rail section was fairly muddy on this day, but recent rains may explain that condition. Congratulations to kerriwade for being the first to find this cache.
