“The property was purchased from Mr. Frederic Giebel in December 2002. Mr. Geibel, a forester by profession as well as co-founder of the Massachusetts Forestry Association, nurtured the development of the young forest after acquiring the property in 1957. Mr. Giebel’s donation to NEFF fulfills his desire to protect the land well beyond his lifetime.
