In my continuing saga to stave off cabin fever due to COVID-19 I have had a lot of time to focus on solving some Geocache puzzles, both close and far from home. Being exposed to so many puzzles in such a short period of time allowed me to create this puzzle, a nexus of two ideas that I saw in other puzzles (1 of them is quite common to SE mass for some reason). Once I had finished planning the execution of the puzzle I got to work. At fist I tried half a dozen computer software drawing programs but none seemed to work just right with respect to what I wanted in this puzzle. Ohm well, if you want something done do it yourself I guess. An hour later I had created the puzzle on a printed hexagonal grid and got some assistance from a fellow friend in New York (NewYorkWanderer) in playtesting it. For once I did not make any careless mistakes in its development!
I hope you enjoy this puzzle, I am really proud of the concept and hopefully cabin fever gives you the capacity to solve this puzzle. The puzzle itself is a 3-3.5 rating, but the hide at GZ is a whopper, so I decided to up the rating to 4.5. Nothing fancy like tree climbing or scuba diving into the bog needed today, just a film canister in a massive array of roots. The coordinate reception is very dodgy here: so again, please note: the cache IS in the large uprooted tree root-net within 50 feet of wherever your GPS settles down to. Please try to replace the hide as exactly as possible to make it just as evil for the next finder.
