Puzzle:
Joe found a bottle in a tangle of seawood and driftwood while walking around the sand dunes of Salisbury Beach with his two daughters, Jan and Elle. The girls were very excited about this find and helped their father gently extricate the bottle which was sealed with a cork and partially covered in barnacles. They could make out that something was inside the bottle so Joe tucked it into his pocket to investigate further at home. Initially, Joe struggled to open the bottle because the cork stopper had swollen tightly into the neck of the bottle. Using a corkscrew, he was able to wiggle the cork out of the bottle after a few minutes. Inside the bottle, he discovered a roll of papers tied with a string. He carefully unrolled the papers and found there were three pieces of parchment paper. The first piece contained a message about a hidden treasure; the second piece contained four grids of numbers; the third piece contained colorful doodles of message bottles.
