Winter bird series: Chickadee Traditional Cache

The chickadee is small, white breasted and compact. Cheery call-- starts with a upward lilting "chicka" followed by an insistant "dee dee dee". Typically not fearful and can be found frequenting feeders. These cuties don't migrate and can be enjoyed all year round. 

• Goodwin Town Forest is a 140 acre tract owned by the town of Hanover. It is a rich ecological environment which includes high-altitude spruce forest, a birch grove, old-growth talus forest and many riparian areas. 
• A mountain bike trail bisects the forest - marked by pink flags or yellow ribbon.
