Recently I set out to find the Walpole South Street Rail Trail. There was easy parking at the beautiful new Senior Center at 60 South St, and an arched entry way behind led to the smooth trail. On the way to and from a beautiful nearby cache, I passed over a bridge on the trail where I paused and noted a cacophony of birdsong. It sounded like hundreds, or thousands, chirping and tweeting all at once in a natural amphitheater. I have no idea if they will be evident year round, but they were certainly raucously welcoming the Spring today. I just had to sit on a nearby bench and relax and enjoy.
