Hathaways Pond Conservation Area is a favorite place for our family to walk and this is our 3rd cache in this area. The trail is approximately 1.2 miles, and is mostly an easy walk although there are areas that could be a little challenge, keep your eyes open for tree roots and rocks. From the cache you can head back to the parking lot or you can complete the loop around the pond. There is an Interpretive Trail brochure put out by the Barnstable Conservation Commission which you can find at the Head of Trail information board. Enjoy the walk around the pond.
Parking: Parking is available to all during the off season (after Labor Day and before Memorial Day). It is also accessible during the "on season" with a local Barnstable beach sticker or after the gate attendants leave for the day (around 4p.m.)
Please place and cover the cache as found.
This cache has been placed with approval from the Barnstable Park Commission.
There is an unregistered trackable for the FTF. Starfish are also included in the box, feel free to take one to inspire you that you can make a difference. Starfish story by Loren Eiseley is on the bottom of the cache.
