Geocache Description:

This is the first of a series inspired by a fabulous yard sale find of a bin-ful of what I call "Creepy Crawlies."  I hope that while you may find them "creepy," you will also find them fun.  I'm beginning this series in the beautiful Turner Pond Conservation Area in Walpole, MA.

Those of a certain age will remember the original Mattel "Creepy Crawlers Thingmaker" toy from the 60s.  I coveted one, but my Mom wasn't a fan.  I did manage to use my next-door neighbor's a few times, and I can still remember the pungent smell of toxic fumes from the multicolored little bottles of "Goop."  I also remember a lot of burns on our little hands:  the metal oven and molds reached 390 degrees!!  I still loved it and wanted my own.  Due to safety concerns and the natural lifespan of toy fads, Mattel discontinued the toy in 1978.

The cache is in the Turner Pond Conservation area in Walpole MA.   It is a small (approx. 4 x 6") black lock-n-lock style box, with a little something added, with some swag and a token for the FTF.   It is near a trail.  Please refrain from adding pictures of the cache itself or photos that give away the location so as not to spoil the thrill of discovery for other cachers.

Enjoy!  And prepare for a whole series of these upcoming soon.
