Salutaguse manor (German: Sallentack) was a knight's manor in Hager parish in Harju County, in present-day Rapla county in Kohila municipality in Salutaguse village. A few km away from the bird's eye view is the Angerja vassal fortress, which is one of the oldest stone buildings in Rapla County in the 14th-15th centuries.
Until 1879, the Salutaguse manor belonged to the Meyendorffs. From 1879 it was owned by the Ungern-Sternbergs and Ramms. The last owner of the manor before the transfer was Fridolf von Ramm. Later, Busch was the most notable owner of the heart of the manor, who in 1930 established a yeast factory in the former distillery of Salutaguse manor.
A few hundred meters long target road led from the Kohila – Tuhala highway directly to the heart of the manor, pointing to the central axis of the main building built on the hill. The outbuildings were located north of the main building, both at the edge of the front sun of the main building and in the areas along the driveway alley. The heart of the manor is surrounded by the manor park. The elongated one-storey main building in the historicist style was completed in the second half of the 19th century. The facade of the building was decorated with middle and side galisals with stepped slices. The building was burned down during the 1905 revolution, but was rebuilt in a slightly modified form. Later, the manor house, which was used as an apartment building and office, burned down again in the 1980s, after which it unfortunately remained in ruins. After the fire in the 1980s, the main building of the manor was not restored, the dangerous ruins were finally demolished on February 23, 2012. Many outbuildings have also been destroyed, but some buildings have been adapted for the production building of the Salutaguse yeast factory Lallemand. Many of the ancient trees in the manor park have been preserved, and the façade of the basement of the manor, located right next to the ring road, is also nice. There is still a garden pavilion in the park. (Summary of online resources).
