Lau aare
Lau küla asub muinastee ääres. Külas on leitud 3 lohukivi ja arheolooglised leiud viikingiaegsest keraamikast annavad tunnistust selle asutamisest umbes 2000-3000 tuhat aastat tagasi. Esimene säilinud kirjalik märge küla (Laugo) kohta on 1526 aastast.
Lau külas on olnud külakool, vallamaja ja kauplus. 1999.a pood demonteeriti ja avati 2012 Eesti Vabaõhumuuseumis töötava kauplusena Lau pood, külarahva suus tuntud kui Pasaaugu Pood (pood asus algselt külas väga madala koha peal ja seal oli alatasa porine).
Lau treasure
The village of LAU is on the fabled road. 3 shallots have been found in the village, and archaeological findings from Viking-era ceramics testify to its founding some 2,000-3,000 thousand years ago. The first surviving written mention of the village (Laugo) is from 1526 years.
There has been a village school, rural municipality house and shop in the village of LAU. The 1999 store was dismantled and opened in 2012 as a store working at the Estonian Open Air Museum Lau store, known in the mouth of the village folk as the scumbag shop. (the store was originally located in a very low place in the village and it was always muddy).
