The original Geocache was placed high up above Capelgill Farm, adjacent to Hang Gill with a steep ascent. The ground to the south of the Geocache is steep and arduous to ascend, making it a remote and difficult place to reach so not many hillwalking Geocachers managed to find it.
Link to the original Rescue 131 Boulmer's Last Lift cache
On 29 September 2015 RAF Boulmer's Sea King helicopter Rescue 131 performed its last mountain rescue before being retired at this location. A lady who had sustained a leg injury was winched into the helicopter and flown to hospital.
The new cache retains the original Moffat MRT name and the location celebrates the regeneration of Carrifram Woodlands, achieved by the Borders Forest Trust. Go through the gate and follow the Circular Path, in either direction, until you come to the information area
