The Facts: Take a moment to look west from GZ and you will see where Sucker Brook meets Lake Bomoseen. If you look beyond that joining, you will see an island with docking structures at its southern end. This island is Rabbit Island.
Rabbit Island is 3.81 acre island, only accessible by boat, that is said to be home to Vermont's entire population of giant rabbits with glowing red eyes. It is believed that at one point the large rabbits made the 50+ foot jump from the mainland to the island, but could not make their way back again! They settled in for the long haul and produced offspring, some of which are said to be as big as Saint Bernards!
The island is privately owned and despite the dense forest filled with giant rabbits, there is also a home dubbed "Warren Cottage".

The Cache: You are looking for a small lock 'n lock container. There is an entry fee to Crystal Beach during the operating hours (10AM-Dusk) in the summer months (June-August). The park is accessible year round 24/7 and no fee is required during "non-operating" hours and seasons. With that said, if you choose to venture to this cache during operating season/hours, use extreme stealth as muggles will be abundant!
Congrats to Tcong FTF on 4/3/23!!
