Geocache Description:

Site of a long-gone mill. Can be approached from the North, SouthEast, or SouthWest over unmaintained town roads.

This cache was initially named "Beaver Heaven" for the beaver pond upstream of the road. Beavers are cyclical and in 2006 this beaver pond was abandoned. When enough saplings of the type the beaver use for food return to a meadow the beavers, and their pond, return. In 2009 we again are seeing a large beaver dam and many acres of flooded meadow behind it. Look downstream for the foundations of the mill that once stood here.

Depending on the time of the year, weather, and your vehicle type, you may be able to drive right to the location.

While this is available in Winter, it may require digging in snow and could be frozen in.

1. If approaching from the North, you may want to park at the Old Cemetery. This is the shortest approach.
2. If approaching from the SouthEast, you may want to park near the lake.
3. If approaching from the SouthWest, park at the corner where the unmaintained road begins unless you have something approaching an ATV.
