Geocache Description:

Another cache in my Murphy series.

The best time to be in Bear Brook State Park is winter.  Even though we haven't had good freezes of the bodies of water the last two winters, it doesn't take away from the beauty in this park, it just makes for longer bushwhacks as we need to go around ponds and streams and not over them.  I was coming from a ponil placement on my way to a Big Read placement and thought that this spot would be perfect for a new cache.  You know the deal: see the biggest glacial erratic and figure out a way to get on top of it and look for a tree/shrub/branch that you can affix a winter-friendly geocache.  There is a ton of space on top of this one and Murphy was able to scramble up the side of it and get to the top with no problem.  Enjoy the trip.
