[EST] Karja mõis (saksa keeles Karrishof) oli riigimõis, hiljem rüütlimõis Saaremaal Karja kihelkonnas. Esimest korda on mõisa mainitud 1558, mil see oli suuri Karja kihelkonna alasid hõlmav piiskopi ametimõis. Taani võimuperioodil sai sellest riigimõis.1920-30ndatel aastatel oli mõisa hoones kodumajanduskool ehk pruutide kool. Pärast 1940. aasta juunipööret ei peetud kodumajanduskooli tegevust vajalikuks ja see likvideeriti. Teise maailmasõja järel asus häärberis haigla ja katsepunkt, hiljem sovhoosi kontor.
Tänapäeval asub Karja mõisahoones Karja rahvamaja sh lugemis-teabetuba ja mängutuba. Säilinud on mitu kõrvalhoonet, enamasti küll ümberehitatuna (näiteks Karja pagariäri). Karja rahvamaja juhatab alati särav ja vastutulelik Lii Mägi, kes korraldab mõisahoone saalis kontserte, teatrietendusi ja muid üritusi kogukonnale. Rahvamajas tegutseb ka kohalik näitering.
[ENG] Karja manor (Karrishof in German) was a state manor, later a knight's manor in the parish of Karja in Saaremaa. The manor was first mentioned in 1558, when it was the official manor of a bishop covering large areas of the Karja parish. During the period of Danish rule, it became a state manor. In the 1920s and 30s, the manor building housed a home economics school, or school for brides. After the June coup of 1940, the activity of the home economics school was not considered necessary and it was liquidated. After the Second World War, the mansion housed a hospital and an experimental station, later the office of the state farm.
Today, the Karja manor building houses the Karja community center, including a reading-information room and a game room for childres. Several outbuildings have been preserved, mostly rebuilt (for example Karja bakery). The Karja community center is always led by the bright and welcoming Lii Mägi, who organizes concerts, theater performances and other events for the community in the hall of the manor house. A local theater group also operates in the public house.
