Geocache Description:

I discovered this place while I was visiting nearby and I thought of good hiding spots while walkin along the trail.  I also purchased several different hides from Geocaching.com that I thought would be fun to hide here.  ***UPDATE 10/24/25 Originally you do not need to bushwhack or leave the trail at all, but I later discovered someone moved to a better hidden location.  You may need to bushwhack by ducking under some brush into an opening.*** There is no poison ivy to worry about.

Here is the information for the Germany Brook Trail in Norwood ...

Germany Brook originates in Westwood and travels two miles, emptying into Ellis Pond in Norwood. This trail head at the Savage Center offers a few options. Easy: 0.2 mile loop on a gravel path towards the soccer fields. Loop back on a wide grassy path. Easy-moderate: Secluded wooded trail on a raised berm meets up behind the soccer field. Continue on a wider grass trail where you will spot Germany Brook on your right. Cross Winter Street to a wide, flat trail, which leads you past the landfill to the Willett School. Take a detour midway on the trail to a 10 minute hike to the top of the landfill. Here, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view. Gaze south and you can spot Moose Hill and Gillette Stadium.

The cache hide is not winter-friendly.

Please bring pen/pencil to sign.

This cache hide has permission from the Norwood Trails Committee.

Congratulations to lucky lizard 6163 for the FTF!
