Realm of The Boulder Barons
Those of you familiar with my idiosyncratic geocaching “brand” might suspect I’m about to give you a mock epic about a power struggle between feuding rocks to skim through in the faint hope of finding some actually useful information..
Nope.*
But I will say this, finding places like the Boulder Realm is why I stray from the trail. I had low expectations as I scouted this strip of land between the parking lot and residential property…
But behold the Realm of the Boulder Barons, really big rocks, little islands and water gerrymandered by nature…what’s not to like?!
You can make a GPS beeline straight to the coords but the most direct route is seldom the easiest. I encourage you to explore a little and find alternative route to your goal. The ground surrounding is likely to be soggy for many months of the year. There’s a fair number of thorny plants in the area by if you navigate with care you can avoid the risk of entanglement or blood loss.
*For the curious: Baron Pierre Von Stein wins the Granite Throne by defeating his archnemesis Baron Igneous Rockhard with a brilliant flanking maneuver at the Battle of Dreadstone.
