Geocache Description:

CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES. (There is a beaver lodge there, which cannot be accessed without getting very wet, except in winter! Please do not disturb them.)  SOLVE THE PUZZLE TO LEARN THE LOCATION.

Encoded here are trail names of varying lengths, 8 trail names in total – but only the first word of each, with one exception. The shortest name has 4 letters and the longest has 9. All trail names can be found on the downloadable map here, or at the kiosk at the parking area, or on the handouts available at the start of the trail after the gate. But there is a catch: interspersed between each encoded name is an extra number. Keep those numbers aside IN ORDER and it will produce another local name. (There will be a hint to start in the usual place, with more added after the FTF is gone.)

This is not a D1 or D2 puzzle, and no online solver has been found even though the encoding method is common. It can be done in chunks online, it seems, or by hand. You've been warned! (Questions will be welcome initially depending on CO availability on publication.)

Once you have decoded this and figured out the hidden word, enter it into Certitude for the final coords. (The website solution checker is here so you can insert the answer to easily update, if you want.)

You will be looking for a nano in the woods, so the TOTT is tweezers. (Not joking!) Good luck!

This cache is within the Fitzgerald Lake Conservation Area, a short hike from the Cooke Avenue parking lot/trailhead. There are several other trailhead locations and many other caches, and you can get here from several directions.

The cache is winter-friendly. The trails are suitable for hiking and mountain biking, and snowshoes and cross-country skis in the winter. Leashed dogs are welcomed.

This cache was placed with a difficulty rating of 3 for the puzzle with the attribute for tool of the trade needed to help people qualify for the current Geocaching Treasures campaign.

Congratulations to the certitude-stealthy minabikes, their first ever FTF!

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
