When I moved into this neighborhood we started walking this cemetery frequently. One day this stone caught my eye.

I looked at my husband and said at rest where? Where is Cora? She certainly still isn't alive. But she has no death date on her stone. I wondered, is she buried here but had no family left to leave a date when she passed away? Did she have family but they didn't have the money to carve the date into the stone? Is she somewhere totally different than here? Is she a vampire?!?
So for a few years every day as I drove by, I'd say, "Hi Cora, wherever you are!" After awhile, I got genuinely curious. One day three years or so later, I called my husband while he was at work and I said, "I found Cora."
Cora E Piper got married in 1899 to Malvern C Blazo when she was 24 and he 21. His occupation is listed as gardner and hers as a housekeeper; he is later listed on census records as a mill laborer. Later records list him as an electrician. He died in 1912; cause of death was listed as "nephritis". In 1913 Cora E Blazo married Gordon McKay, who is listed as a lumberman. He died in 1934 of "chronic myocarditis", and he was listed as a teamster. Okay so McKay was her second husband. But still...where is she?
Fast forward to 1955. Cora McKay is 81 years old. She gets married a third time. Her new spouse is John E Boynton, twice divorced, 11 years her junior. She is buried next to him in Holderness, NH as Cora E Boynton. She passed away in 1968 at 94 years old. The mystery has been solved! I know where she is finally! Sounds like she had a long and interesting life. A hot ticket you may say. Wish we could have met. In the end the answer to the cache name, Where's Cora? The cache may be here, but she isn't!
