Tucked away in the northern woods of Northampton, the Sawmill Hills Conservation Area offers over 1,000 acres of rugged trails, rocky ridges, and peaceful forest corridors. Whether you arrive from the Florence side or the trails near Mountain Street, you’ll soon find yourself surrounded by quiet woods, glacial boulders, and the sound of water trickling through hidden ravines.
This cache is hidden along one of the many twisting trails that wind through the heart of the Hills. Expect roots, rocks, and a few ups and downs—but also the reward of solitude and discovery. Keep an eye out for signs of wildlife; deer, fox, and even the occasional barred owl call this place home.
