The very best time of year to get to this cache and others on the way to the Chimney, is in the WINTER! The trail is a snowmobile trail, so when packed for winter fun, the wet spots are solid ice and the weeds should be packed down. In the spring, there will be mucky areas and in the summer and fall lots of tall goldenrod and sweetfern to make your walking difficult.
The geocache is a preform hanging in a tree. I stood on a conveniently placed cut stump to hide the cache...but it is not very high at all.
