Welcome to Fitzgerald Lake Conservation Area, managed by the Broad Brook Coalition on behalf of the City of Northampton.
Cache is located at the main Cooke Ave parking area for the conservation area. The FLCA is a 936-acre preserve. Its diverse habitats, including upland forest, marshes, old pastures, and a 40-acre lake, are home to a large variety of wildlife. Visitors can enjoy almost 10 miles of trails, and - from the North Farms parking - a boardwalk and dock for launching canoes and kayaks.
As of this summer there is a new accessible trail from this parking lot along Boggy Meadow Road (trail) to the edge of the beaver pond and the junction with the Pines Edge trail.
A trail map and further information is available on the Broad Brook website.
