Geocache Description:

Way to Ylemiste from city goes over railway. Nearby cache you can see nice view to downtown or modern shopping center. To reach to hiding place you should be careful in traffic and depending on your direction be ready for stairway. As well other people will have good view from your activity in upstairs. Be open-eyed from geomugglers.

Ylemiste itself will change a lot. On an idea level has stayed the thought to bring airport, bus- and railway station under one roof. Former time there was meat factory and barracks, which have been demolished. Other side is Dvigatel territory - (Dvigatel Industrial Park has long experience in the field of metalworking. The Dvigatel plant was built in 1899 for the production of rail cars for the Czarist Russia. Old limestone buildings remind of the early years of the plant.). Most of buildings are not used anymore. Only it’s headquarter has been renovated. You can see it from hiding place. Tee Ülemistele linnast viib üle raudtee. Aarde lähedalt avaneb suurepärane vaade all-linnale või moodsale ostukeskusele. Aardeni jõudmiseks tuleb Sul olla tähelepanelik liikluses ja olenevalt lähenemissuunast ka valmis trepironimiseks. Samas on üleval parim ülevaade sinu tegevusest kui sa aarde juures askeldad. Ole siis tähelepanelik ja ära “vahele jää” kõrvalistele isikutele.

Ülemiste kvartal on muutumas. Idee tasandile on esialgu jäänud projekt tuua lennujaam, bussijaam ja raudteejaam ühise katuse alla. Endistest aegadest olid seal kunagi lihakombinaat kohe raudtee kõrval ning barakid, need on kõik juba lammutatud, enamus Dvigateli kvartalist on veel kasutamata – hoonetes küll väikefirmad sees, kuid uut elu majad ise veel ei ela.
