This cache has been archived.

Pohatu Nuva: Hello!
I'm archiving your cache as it has been disabled for more than one month and it is lost or completely damaged. Usually, caches are visited and maintained within 30 days after disabling.
If you wish to unarchive your cache then please contact me using GC code or link of this cache.

If there are still leftovers from a container I would appreciate it if other players could collect them so that there is no trash in nature.

Happy geocaching!

Geocache Description:

[ENG] This multicache is hidden near a sandy beach. In summer you can take the sun and swim there. Please add to the cache only items that are either from soviet period or are connected to soviet period in one way or another!

[EST] See multiaare asub kauni liivaranna läheduses.

[ENG] Estonia was occupied by Soviet Union from 1940 to 1991. Last russian troops left Estonia in 1994, but there are still many soviet monuments in Estonia. Besides physical monuments we all have some personal memories from that soviet period. Some of them are good, but most of them are arguably not so good.
This multicache tries to represent both physical and mental “monuments” from these years. 1st and 3rd points of the cache are near monuments, 2nd point or Anchor Point is dedicated to the cafe Ankur (= Anchor), that stood there on the beach more than 20 years ago. It was built from glass, so that you could look at the sea through these walls. As a child I thought the cafe was very chic, thus the Anchor Point represents pleasant memories from soviet period. All calculations given below are with coordinates in DMS. The coordinates of the 1st point are N59 34' 47” E25 43' 03”

A) 1st point of the cache is the monument, dedicated to a soviet ship that sank in Loksa harbor during II World War. The name of the ship consisted of 2 words. To find the Anchor Point, you have to know, how many letters were in 2nd half of the ship name. See also (visit link)

Y= N59 34' 47"
- X ”

where Y= latitude coordinates of the Anchor Point; X= the number of letters in 2nd half of the ship name.

B) Longitude coordinates of the Anchor Point:

Degrees = same. Minutes = Y – 1' Seconds = Y – Z

where Y= seconds of latitude coordinates of the Anchor Point; Z = total number of persons, whose names are written near the monument in the 1st point of the cache.

C) For the 3rd point of the cache the longitude coordinates remain the same. If you walk from the Anchor Point towards the river Valgejõgi, you should be able to notice another monument.

D) If you start walking from 3rd point to 1st point (direction should be approximately SEE), you should be able to find a playground. At soviet times it was occasionally used instead of gym or school stadium. This point represents memories from soviet schools. Thus the 4th point can represent both good and bad memories.
The final cache is hidden under a small fir near playground. NB! You don't need to dig, the cache was hidden using bare hands. In summer the final point of the cache could be crowded, please do not expose the hiding place of the cache!

Tookord, lapsena, tundus see mulle väga peen. Ankrupunkt esindab seega helgemaid mälestusi nõukogude ajast. Kõik järgnevad arvutused on tehtud kraadide-minutite-sekunditega (DMS). Algpunkti koordinaadid on: N59 34' 47” E25 43' 03”

A) 1. punktis asub monument, mis on pühendatud ühele II maailmasõja ajal Loksa sadamas uppunud nõukogude laevale.

Y= N59 34' 47"
- X ”

B) Ankrupunkti idapikkuse kraadid jäävad samuti samaks. Ankrupunkti idapikkuse minutid = laeva uppumisele järgnenud aasta 2 viimast numbrit.
Ankrupunkti idapikkuse sekundid (zz) = lahuta laeva uppumise aastast (2 viimast numbrit, xx) 1. punkti mälestustahvlil kirjas olevate hukkunud madruste (aa), reameeste (bb) ja leitnantide (cc) koguarv:

zz = xx - (aa + bb + cc)

Palliplatsi serval väikese kuuse all on aare. NB! Labidat pole vaja, aare sai peidetud paljakäsi! Palun taastage maskeering hoolikalt!
