Current Goal

I like geocaching and I like beer, so when I saw these travel tags I had to have them.  Beer and geocaching both depend on technology and some archeologists have even theorized that man's thirst for beer caused civilization to develop.  This travel tag wants to go everywhere in the world people appreciate beer.  Take pictures of it at the Great American Beer Festival, Oktoberfest or your favorite local pub.  Hide it in caches near breweries or bars, it wants to go anywhere and everywhere people drink beer and geocache.

Please do not take it to places where alcoholic beverages are illegal and/or they offend the majority religion.  These would include: the few remaining dry counties in the USA, Islamic countries and other places where beer is against the law.  Beer is loved all over the world; don't take this tag to one of the few places where it is not.

About This Item

Lager beers are the most popular style of beer in the world.  The word "lager" comes from the German word that means "to store".  These are typically light bodied and lightly hopped beers that are fermented for extended periods of time at reduced temperatures.  Because yeast works more slowly at these cold temperatures, lager beers take much longer to ferment than a beer or ale that ferments at room temperature.  This time is well spent and the many fans of this beer style say the color and clarity and the light crisp clean flavor makes this beer style worth the wait.

Like lager beer, long walk caches take much longer to achieve than most other caches styles.  They are a very popular style and their many fans say they are the more satisfying than most other styles of cache.
