As it turns out, there aren’t any geocaches particularly close to fire houses in the city of New York. As it turns out, the geocache website does not make it particularly easy to undertake the kind of search necessary to figure that out. However, by cross-referencing a map of FDNY locations I accessed and superimposing the scaled image over various segments of the geocache map, I realized… I was kind of out of luck.
But . . . Who You Gonna Call?
The hide may not actually be too close to an actual firehouse, but I figured this was good enough. Unfortunately, it turns out the container is nowhere near large enough to hold even a small travel bug that carries with it a hitchhiker.
I tried. I am open to suggestions.
