Current Goal

Update: Well, both boys are obviously walking now, and it looks like Liam's Left Shoe eeked in ahead of the race with Gavin's right shoe in a close second. It's time for the shoes to head back home to Madison, Wisconsin! If you find them, please send them home!

Original Mission: This shoe bug is in a race for miles! We want to see which shoe can log the most miles before their twin brother owners both learn to walk! At the time of release, Liam and Gavin are 7 months old. Once these guys are walking, perhaps the shoes can log a few more miles and make their way back to Madison,Wisconsin and maybe into a keepsake box for the boys!

We left Gavin's Right Shoe at the GCGCD8 cache in Wayland, MA, "Wayland 2.0 - King's Cache", in a protective plastic zip bag and with a copy of your home page overview, with the text highlighted that says it should start heading home to Wisconsin. Everything is under 6" of ice and hardened snow, more snow coming tonight, so it may not be accessed again right away, but it's put on some miles and should start heading home. The cache is in a popular area for hiking, dog walking, and a little dog cemetery, so a good bet that the shoe will get going again.

If the photo of Gavin shows him with the missing shoe as the one being cached, isn't his left shoe?

Picked it up from GCZ2WK Tempe Wick natural area in Mendham Township, New Jersey (07945), our first geocaching find and our first travel bug find. Being new, at first we did not realize what it was when the kids had it while at the cache, but I did recognize what it was after looking at it when we got home. Gee, we were at the Oshkosh air show August 2008, probably pretty close to its original home, no? We'll try to get it headed home to Wisconsin with some extra miles, we plan to deposit it in a cache in or near Wayland Massachusetts when visiting there next week-end, weather permitting.

Took this TB because the cache it was in was a little wet and didn't want it destroyed. Lets get some miles on him.
