Current Goal

I would like to see this bug travel to as many war memorials as it can across the U.S. and abroad. It would be great if it made it to the Pacific Islands where dad earned his real one

About This Item

Dad's Proud Secret

This bug is in honor of my father. When asked who is my hero, he is without hesitation the one who I say is my hero. He has since past on, like many WWII vets. He fought in the Pacific Theater. He fought on the Island of Guadalcanal and fought and was shot on the island of Bougainville. He is actually on the video series Victory at Sea, shown being carried down a hill on a stretcher.
He is truely missed. So thank you all for helping me honor my father in this simple way.

Good morning all, Thank you all for the nice emails and the notices on the TB missing from this cache. Unfortunately some ***hole felt it necessary to remove the TB and not log it. the TB has been MIA for some time now. I was hoping to give the indivdual plenty of time to log it's where abouts. but I've been told by some salty old cachers that the time has come to say good bye to the TB. Thank you again all who have looked for and not found the TB. Greg
