A stone with a naturally formed, continuous hole is called a chicken god. Stones of this type are mostly flint bulbs with chalk deposits. The "real" chicken god has a hole of about 5 to 8 mm in diameter, usually a remnant of a once stored fossil sea lily stem.
Als Hühnergott wird ein Stein mit einem natürlich entstandenen, durchgehenden Loch bezeichnet. Steine dieser Art sind meist Feuersteinknollen mit herausgewitterten Kreideeinlagerungen. Der "echte" Hühnergott hat ein Loch von etwa 5 bis 8 mm Durchmesser, in der Regel Überbleibsel eines einst eingelagerten fossilen Seelilien Stängels.
